MINING ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT

THE HISTORY OF DEPARTMENT

Department of Mining Engineering was opened in 1992-1993 academic year under Nigde University and was transferred to Aksaray University in 2006 2007 academic year.

In 2011-2012 academic year, our department started accepting students.

Our department carries out education and training works and research activities within two divisions:

       • Mining Division

       • Mineral Processing Division

In addition, our department also has thesis and non-thesis master facilities.

OUR MISSION:

• To give priority of education and teaching, scientific research, project and consultancy services, To take major role for presenting to the benefit of society of scientific research, accumulation and production of education and service areas, to develop understanding of cooperation and solidarity at every national and international level in all fields.

OUR VISSION:

The vision of the Mining Engineering: undergraduate and postgraduate education, regional research and project work, that can compete at national and international level; To be a department that contributing to the country's development with operation of mines and economic benefits.
