International Symposium on Occupational Health and Safety in Mining 2019

Dear Colleagues, Researchers and Industry Representatives,

Mining sector where labour is intensive takes place at the top of very dangerous workplace and the high likelihood of occupational diseases and accidents. Therefore, health and safety studies have a great significance in order to completely eliminate risks by controlling hazards at source or to reduce the risks to the acceptable levels.

In this context, the Symposium on Occupational Health and Safety in Mining, which we had organized at national level every two years from 2007 to 2015, was the first time that organized internationally in 2017.

In this year, the 7th International Symposium on Occupational Health and Safety in Mining’2019 will be held on a wide range of attendance of valuable specialists, scientists, researchers, practitioners, policy makers, relevant public institutions, leading companies in OHS, students and colleagues from various countries.

The International Symposium on Occupational Health and Safety in Mining’2019 organized by Adana Branch of UCTEA Chamber of Mining Engineers of Turkey along with Cukurova University, Mining Engineering Department  will be held from 03-04 October 2019 in Adana.

During the Symposium; issues related to the occupational health and safety, provided solutions, scientific and technical aspects of sustainability of the occupational safety will be overviewed. Furthermore, beyond the discussion of scientific and technical issues, the main objective of the symposium is to create new opportunities on business developments between delegates who come from different sectors.
